Helping organisations grow with more clarity, confidence and focus.
Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked across agencies, brands, charities and founder-led businesses. I help organisations clarify who they are, communicate more effectively and grow with greater confidence.
Today, I work as a plug-in marketing strategist and mentor, supporting creative agencies, founders, charities and social enterprises through periods of growth, change and repositioning.
Part strategist. Part mentor. Part sounding board.
Always practical, collaborative and focused on helping people move forward with more clarity.
Strategic marketing support and mentoring for founders, agencies, charities and growing organisations.
My background
I’ve spent my career working across marketing, communications and business growth — both agency-side and in-house.
I co-founded and scaled creative agency The Doers, worked in senior communications and marketing roles, and spent over 10 years supporting Maggie's both in-house and as a consultant.
That mix of experience means I understand the realities of growth from different perspectives.
I know what it’s like to:
Build and grow a business
Market a business while running it
Manage teams through growth and change
Balance strategy with delivery
Navigate stakeholder complexity
Create marketing that actually supports organisational goals
And because I’ve worked across the commercial and charity sectors, I bring a broad perspective that helps organisations step back and see things more clearly.
How I work
I’m not a consultancy at arm’s length.
I work closely with founders, leadership teams and organisations to help untangle challenges, clarify priorities and create strategies that feel realistic enough to actually follow through.
Sometimes that means:
Refining positioning and messaging
Strengthening marketing strategy
Mentoring founders and teams
Facilitating workshops
Helping organisations navigate growth or change
Bringing accountability and momentum to ideas that have become stuck
No unnecessary complexity. No strategies that look good on paper but never happen.
Just thoughtful strategic support, honest conversations and practical action.
Practical, collaborative and focused on clarity.
Mentoring & qualifications
Alongside my strategic work, mentoring has become an important part of what I do.
I’m an ILM Level 5 Business Mentor and accredited with the Association of Business Mentors, where I continue to develop through ongoing training and professional development.
I also volunteer as a mentor with:
Enterprise Nation’s Help to Grow programme
UnLtd
Anglia Ruskin University’s Freelancing Fast Start programme
Mentoring gives people space to think more clearly, build confidence and make stronger decisions — whether they’re growing a business, leading a team or navigating change.
Connected to the creative
and purpose-led community
Community and connection are a big part of how I work.
Through my work with agencies, founders, charities and initiatives like The Creative Table, I’ve built a strong network across the creative and purpose-led sectors — particularly in Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridge and London.
I stay close to the conversations, challenges, and opportunities shaping these sectors, and where it adds value, I connect clients with the right collaborators, partners, or opportunities.
Connect with founders, creatives and collaborators through honest conversations, shared ideas and meaningful connections.
A few things that
matter to me
I care about doing good work with good people.
That means:
Building relationships based on trust and honesty
Keeping strategy practical and achievable
Supporting people, not just businesses
Creating growth that feels sustainable
Making marketing feel clearer and less overwhelming
I believe organisations do their best work when there’s clarity, confidence and space to think.
And that’s what I try to bring into every piece of work I do.

Location
I’m based in Dunmow in north-west Essex.
I’m based in Great Dunmow in north-west Essex and work with clients across Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridge and London.
Where possible, I love working in person. I find the best conversations often happen when I can properly immerse myself in your organisation, team or environment and experience first-hand how things work day to day.
I regularly travel across Essex, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire by car, and into London by train.
That said, if location or schedules make meeting in person tricky, I’m equally comfortable working remotely. I regularly run mentoring sessions, workshops and strategy calls online, and have found virtual sessions can be just as valuable and collaborative.
In-person across Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridge and London — or online from wherever you are.
Whether you need clearer positioning, stronger marketing, mentoring support or simply space to think more clearly about what comes next, let’s start with a conversation.
Together, we’ll look at:
Where you are now
What’s feeling stuck or unclear
What might help create more clarity and momentum
